Nike's 2021 global brand campaign empowered people to create meaningful change through sport. We tapped Nike athletes to share their untold stories of how sport changed them, then they changed the world. We turned those stories into bold, vibrant films and content for @Nike, Nike App, and Nike.com.

New Wins: Eliud Kipchoge

With an athletic career as storied as Olympian Eliud Kipchoge’s, fresh stories are hard to come by. So we turned to Kipchoge’s friends and fans, weaving a dozen different interviews together to paint a poignant portrait (no really, we painted a portrait!) of an athlete who inspires and empowers others to pursue their purpose.

One of our interviewees was Elijah "Eljay" Mutua, a graffiti artist in Kenya who was inspired by Kipchoge to paint. We worked with Eljay to commission and document the creation of a custom mural honoring Kipchoge’s tremendous influence on people from all walks of life.

The mural continues to inspire local creativity, and even appeared in a pretty sweet music video.

New Icons: Dina Asher-Smith

World champion sprinter Dina Asher-Smith’s athletic achievements were only part of the story. We wanted to show the world how sport shaped Dina’s view of her body and gave her the confidence to become a new kind of role model for young women. We tapped Anita Abayomi, the host of England’s first Black female-led football podcast, to interview Dina and help bring out a new side of the runner.

New Disruptors: Sabrina Ionescu

Fresh off her rookie WNBA season at the New York Liberty, we asked Sabrina to reflect on the ways that sport helped her break the rules and shatter perceived limitations of what’s possible.
